Surveying Historic Structures

Over the years our professional team of divers have undertaken work on a wide range of historic structures including bridges, tunnels, aquaducts and locks.  The work has involved surveys, maintenance, repair, protection and clearance.

When carrying out surveys Commercial & Specialised Diving teams employ a wide range of underwater inspection techniques from wading and diving to confined space and using Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs). We then produce detailed technical and photographic reports which contain vital information on the condition of the surveyed historic structures.

Repair and maintenance work includes underwater welding and cutting, concrete repairs and scour protection – all undertaken with skill and respect for the fabric of the structures.
