UNDERWATER DRILLING & FIXING
Underwater drilling and fixing are one of our core skills here at Commercial and Specialised Diving. Using specialist pneumatic and hydraulic drills, the range of repair, maintenance and health & safety upgrades we can carry out is extensive to say the least.
One pool we visited last month had access steps with no demarcation on the treads, and was consequently a risk to the swimmers using the pool. Commercial and Specialised Diving had the solution – HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) treads with strong red demarcation so that swimmers could easily see the edges of the steps.
Our divers drilled and fixed the new safety treads with the minimum of disruption, creating a safer swimming environment for the Leisure Centre’s clients.
Other examples where underwater drilling and fixing can be put to excellent use include replacing grilles, handrails, ladder striker plates and lighting blanks – to name but a few.
